Swimming pool is a great way of entertainment and fun specifically in summer. The pool water, slide, floating sofas, pool toys, etc. are the some of many things that bring us unforgettable pleasure and memories. Pool is one of the very few places where all the family members or people of all age groups can have fun and spend time. Swimming pool is a total fun package but it can be dangerous also. Many accidents even deaths have been reported in swimming pool areas. It is very essential to educate people about how they can assure the safety of their loved ones if they are in pool area. There are various things to keep in mind when it comes to swimming pool safety. In the following there are top 5 swimming pool safety tips that you should know to avoid accidents and danger.

1.      Adult supervision for kids at swimming pools is very essential. Don’t allow kids in swimming pool areas until or unless there is adult supervision. It is not sufficient that the kids know how to swim; there are lots of other things that could happen such as underwater cramp and if no one is supervising than it may lead to more risky situation. Lifeguard at a commercial pool is also very essential and they should be liable enough to take care of your children.

2.      Pool safety cover is very essential for safety if swimming pool is not in use. These cover can help you to prevent from the accidents and make the swimming pool secured. If you have solid safety cover installed than you should not be anxious even your kids are having fun near the swimming pool.

3.      Always keep in mind to not leave pool toys in water or pool area. Children as always the children may attract towards the toys and try to get them and caused any accidents or fall in the pool water. So, never leave such things in pool or around it.

4.      Always keep the floating devices in pool water because it can be a big help in case of some accident or for someone who does not know how to swim. These devices can also be a great help if an adult or someone who know how to swim is near the pool area.

5.      It is very essential to have a handrail installed on the decks of your pool. It is more essential if you have someone who doesn’t know how to swim or children in particular in your swimming pool. It is also a good thing to install non-slip materials on your deck, ladders and diving boards. Pool ladders should be minimum 3 inches thick.
